The new Directory has been designed to provide significant benefits for each of the different users over and above the existing system. These include:

CERTIFICATED SITES

  • Information will be uploaded on the Directory much more quickly
  • The ability to allow particular customers to view certificate details and/or reports directly from the Directory
  • Enhanced marketing opportunities for certificated sites through the Directory

RETAILERS AND OTHER PURCHASERS

  • Direct access to audit reports when authorised by suppliers
  • The ability to run management reports on their certificated suppliers
  • An authenticated source of reports and certificates

CERTIFICATION BODIES

  • The ability to upload their customer’s certification details and reports directly onto the Directory as soon as certification process is complete
  • The ability to run management reports on their own auditors and certificated sites
  • The ability to upload and modify auditor and office/contact details for verification by the BRC

BRC

  • The ability to manage the performance of Certification Bodies and ensure consistency
  • Better oversight of the use of the BRC Global Standards
